METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR INDICATING SANITARY STATE OF SURFACE

To provide a method and a system for indicating a sanitary state of a surface.SOLUTION: The method includes bringing a cleaning composition into contact with a coating on a surface. The coating comprises a coloring material, and indicates a reference optical state when illuminated with light having a first wavelength prior to contact with the cleaning composition, but indicates an altered optical state when illuminated with light having a second wavelength after contact with the cleaning composition. The cleaning composition is configured to induce switching from the reference optical state to the altered optical state.
