Zusammenfassung: | To provide: a catalyst for water treatment capable of maintaining a contact oxidation ability of dissolved manganese even when a water flow rate is increased, sufficiently insolubilizing dissolved manganese, and reducing the residual amount of manganese in treated water; and a water treatment system and a water treatment method using the catalyst for water treatment.SOLUTION: A catalyst 1 for water treatment includes a base material 2 and a catalyst layer 3 provided on at least a part of a surface of the base material 2, in which the catalyst layer 3 contains manganese dioxide and the true specific gravity thereof is 5.1 g/mL or more. The water treatment system has a reaction tank filled with the catalyst 1 for water treatment. A water treatment method brings the catalyst 1 for water treatment into contact with treated water containing dissolved manganese.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
