To provide a medical diagnosis supporting device and a medical diagnosis supporting program which enable a medical doctor to determine a diagnostic disease name without overlooking necessary clinical characteristic items.SOLUTION: A medical diagnosis supporting device 1 includes characteristics section writing means 5 with which clinical characteristics are written. Diagnostic disease name section display controlling means 7 extracts diagnostic disease name candidates based on the clinical characteristics in a characteristics section, and displays their unconfirmed clinical characteristics. Switching means 11 operates to switch a mode between a characteristics section mode and a diagnostic disease name section mode.
