Zusammenfassung:To improve the impact accuracy of droplets and the image quality by optimizing the discharge speed of the droplets in a liquid discharge device which includes two waveform supply units that supply plural kinds of drive waveforms generating the droplets in different sizes to a positive pole side of a drive unit of each nozzle whose negative pole side is commonly grounded.SOLUTION: The discharge speed of droplets when discharging the droplets in a first size from a prescribed number of drive units is "A", the discharge speed of the droplets when discharging the droplets in a second size larger than the first size is "B", the discharge speed of the droplets in the first size when discharging the droplets in the first size from the prescribed number of drive units and discharging the droplets in the second size from the remaining drive units is "C", and the discharge speed of the droplets in the second size when discharging the droplets in the second size from the prescribed number of drive units and discharging the droplets in the first size from the remaining drive units is "D". The drive waveform whose timing of a discharge pulse discharging the droplets is within |A-C|
