Zusammenfassung:To provide a power converter with an overvoltage protection circuit which can suppress a change of power consumption characteristic while suppressing an increase of a manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: A power converter has a converter performing at least one of a conversion from AC power to DC power and a conversion from DC power to AC power, and an overvoltage protection circuit connected to a DC side of the converter and suppressing overvoltage of DC voltage of the converter. The converter has a pair of DC terminals, and the overvoltage protection circuit has a first resistance element provided between the pair of DC terminals, and a second resistance element provided in parallel to the first resistance element, in which a first state where current is flown to the first resistance element and the second resistance element and a second state where current flown to the first resistance element and the second resistance element is blocked can be switched.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】製造コストの増加を抑制しつつ、電力の消費特性の変化を抑制可能な過電圧保護回路を備えた電力変換装置を提供する。【解決手段】交流電力から直流電力への変換及び直流電力から交流電力への変換の少なくとも一方を行う変換器と、前記変換器の直流側に接続され、前記変換器の直流電圧の過電圧を抑制する過電圧保護回路と、を備え、前記変換器は、一対の直流端子を有し、前記過電圧保護回路は、前記一対の直流端子の間に設けられた第1抵抗素子と、前記第1抵抗素子と並列に設けられた第2抵抗素子と、を有し、前記第1抵抗素子及び前記第2抵抗素子に電流を流す第1状態と、前記第1抵抗素子及び前記第2抵抗素子に流れる電流を遮断する第2状態と、を切り替え可能である電力変換装置が提供される。【選択図】図1
