VEHICLE CONTROL METHOD AND VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM

To suppress a sound vibration that occurs when a vehicle is driven by an internal combustion engine and motor generator.SOLUTION: A vehicle 1 is driven by power of at least one of a motor 2, an internal combustion engine 3, and a generator 4. In an internal combustion engine direct-coupled mode for driving the vehicle 1 using the internal combustion engine 3 and the motor 2 or generator 4, a controller 7 sets the required torque of the motor 2 or generator 4 to a predetermined value defined based on a predetermined range when the required torque of the vehicle 1 is within a predetermined range (range set based on a value on a best fuel consumption line) including the value on the best fuel consumption line of the internal combustion engine 3, and controls the required torque of the internal combustion engine 3 based on the required torque of the vehicle 1.
