Zusammenfassung:	To provide an air conditioner capable of increasing a removal amount of air pollutants in indoor air and suppressing deterioration of comfort of a user, and an air cleaning method.SOLUTION: An air conditioner 100 includes: an air quality sensor S1 detecting air pollutants; a predetermined number of air cleaning functions FN of which number is three or more; and a control section 200 controlling the predetermined number of air cleaning functions FN.
