Zusammenfassung:To provide a single edge type pipe cutter which reduces slide resistance in accordance with contact with a cross section of an object to be cut by its edge surface, reduces a force necessary for a cutting work, and prevents occurrence of breaks in the object to be cut.SOLUTION: A cutter 1 includes a first handle 4 having a receiving part 6, a moving edge 2 pivot-connected to the first handle 4, and a second handle 5 for opening/closing the moving edge 2, and fully opens the moving edge 2 by operating the second handle 5 in a direction separating from the first handle 4, closes the moving edge 2 by operating the second handle 5 in a direction approaching the first handle 4, and cuts a pipe 30 supported by the receiving part 6 by the closing moving edge 2, in which a through hole 2b for avoiding contact with a cross section of the pipe 30 of an edge surface 2a of the moving edge 2 is provided on a trajectory for passing the cross section. Due to existence of the through hole 2b, slide resistance between a part where the pipe 30 has been already cut and the moving blade 2 is reduced, a force necessary for the cut work is reduced, and occurrence of breaks and cracks can be blocked.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】片刃式のパイプカッタにおいて、その刃面の切断対象物の断面が接触することに伴う摺動抵抗を減じ、切断作業に要する力を低減するとともに切断対象物に割れ等が生じることを防止する。【解決手段】受け部6を有する第1の把手4と、その第1の把手4にピボット結合させた動刃2と、その動刃2を開閉させる第2の把手5を備え、第2の把手5を第1の把手4から離反する方向に操作して動刃2を全開させ、第2の把手5を第1の把手4に接近する方向に操作して動刃2を閉じ、その閉じる動刃2によって受け部6で支えたパイプ30を切断するカッタ1につき、動刃2の刃面2aのパイプ30の断面が通過する軌跡上に、その断面との接触を回避するための透孔2bを設ける。透孔2bの存在により、パイプ30の既に切断が終わった箇所と動刃2との摺動抵抗が減じられ、切断作業に要する力を低減し、割れやヒビ等の発生を阻止することが可能となる。【選択図】図1
