To provide an electronic device capable of detecting an abnormal state such as a sign of failure with less error determination and good accuracy.SOLUTION: A lighting device 1 includes an LED light source 6, a constant current control unit 3 that supplies a drive current to the LED light source 6, a current monitoring unit 5 that monitors output current waveform or the like in the constant current control unit 3, and a communication unit 2 that transmits abnormality information indicating that an abnormality is detected by the current monitoring unit 5 to an external higher-level device.
