To provide an image capturing lens which satisfies requirements of a low height and low F-number, and yet offers good optical characteristics.SOLUTION: An image capturing lens provided herein consists of a first lens having positive refractive power, a second lens having negative refractive power, a third lens, a fourth lens having positive refractive power, and a fifth lens having negative refractive power, arranged in order from the object side to the image side, where the first lens has an object-side surface that is convex near an optical axis, the third lens has an image-side surface that is convex near the optical axis, and the fifth lens has a biconcave shape with an object-side surface that is concave near the optical axis and an image-side surface that is concave near the optical axis.
