To reduce a load to look for a lesion candidate, corresponding to a lesion candidate in one image of a pair of mammographic images, from the other image.SOLUTION: An image observation device according to an embodiment includes a selection unit, a calculation unit, and a display control unit. The selection unit selects a lesion candidate from a first medical image acquired by photographing the breast of a subject in a state where it is oppressed in a first direction. The calculation unit calculates an object region corresponding to a position of the lesion candidate of a second medical image obtained by photographing the breast in a state where it is oppressed in a second direction different from the first direction.
