To provide a filter device detachably provided in a clothing treatment apparatus, the filter device having a configuration of being easy of cleaning even if a filter body part has a shape a plurality of projections is provided thereon, and of increasing the performance of collecting foreign matters.SOLUTION: A clothing treatment apparatus includes a filter device 50 for collecting foreign matters in water, the filter device 50 being detachably provided in the clothing treatment apparatus. The filter device 50 includes a filter body part 52 collecting the foreign matters, an outer part including an edge portion of the filter body part 52, and an inner part provided inside of the outer part.
