To provide a work support device capable of controlling a flying object by properly using detection means provided to an upper turning body.SOLUTION: A work support device is for controlling the positional relationship between a work machine and a flying object mounted with an imaging unit. The work machine includes: a lower running body; an upper turning body mounted on the lower running body; a display unit for displaying images picked up by the imaging unit; and detection means provided to the upper turning body for detecting the position and the orientation of the work machine.
