Zusammenfassung:To provide a non-contact annular seal capable of reducing damage due to contact between a liner ring and a rotor at the time of start, and, in a rated operation state where the rotation speed is stable, reducing the leak amount by narrowing the distance between the liner ring and the rotor compared to the time of start.SOLUTION: A fluid machine includes a stator surrounding a rotor and a non-contact annular seal device disposed between the rotor and the stator. The non-contact annular seal device includes a seal member which limits movement of a fluid in an axial direction of the rotor and which is disposed between the rotor and the stator, a nipping device which nips a seal member in the axial direction and pressurizes and nips the seal member in the axial direction in accordance with a pressure generated by the rotor, and a flow passage whose flow passage area between the seal member and the rotor or the stator changes as the seal member deforms perpendicularly to the axial direction in accordance with the pressure of the nipping device nipping the seal member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3B 【課題】起動時にはライナリングと回転体の接触による損傷を抑制し、且つ回転数が安定した定格運転状態では、起動時よりもライナリングと回転体の間隔を狭くしてリーク量を低減することのできる非接触環状シールを提供する。【解決手段】流体機械は、ロータを囲うステータと、ロータとステータの間に設けられた非接触環状シール装置と、を備える。非接触環状シール装置は、ロータの軸方向への流体の移動を制限するシール部材で、ロータとステータの間に設けられるシール部材と、シール部材を軸方向において挟持し、ロータにより生じる圧力に応じてシール部材を軸方向に加圧して挟持する挟持装置と、シール部材を挟持装置の挟持する圧力に応じて軸方向と垂直に変形するシール部材とすることにより、シール部材と、ロータ又はステータの間の流路面積が変化する流路を備える。【選択図】図3B
