POSITIONING UNIT AND POSITIONING TABLE

To provide a positioning unit which enables high accuracy positioning in a one-dimensional direction or a two-dimensional direction (a plane direction), and to provide a positioning table.SOLUTION: A positioning unit includes: a first track fixed onto a substrate; a first slide member which is slidably attached to the first track and includes an inclined surface perpendicular to the substrate on a side surface; a linear motion driving device which is connected to the first slide member, installed on the substrate, and drives forward/rearward movement of the first slide member along the track; a second track fixed onto the substrate so as to intersect with the first track; and a second slide member slidably attached to the second track and including an inclined surface perpendicular to the substrate on a side surface. The first slide member and the second slide member are assembled so that the second slide member is moved rearward or forward along the track when the first slide member is moved forward or rearward along the track by the linear motion driving device being operated with the inclined surfaces contacting with each other.
