Zusammenfassung:	To improve shape-retaining properties when a balloon is expanded while securing expansion and contraction of the balloon.SOLUTION: A balloon catheter includes a shaft and a balloon surrounding the periphery of the shaft, in which the tip side and the base end side are each connected to the shaft. The shaft is configured so that a relative position of a connection part with the tip side of the balloon and a connection part with the base end side of the balloon can be changed in an axial direction. The balloon includes a first balloon part whose rigidity is relatively low, and a second balloon part whose rigidity is relatively high, adjacent to at least one side in an axial direction of the first balloon part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】バルーンの拡張・収縮を確保しつつ、バルーンの拡張時の定形性を向上させる。【解決手段】バルーンカテーテルは、シャフトと、シャフトの周囲を囲むとともに先端側と基端側とがそれぞれ前記シャフトに接合されているバルーンと、を備える。シャフトは、軸方向において、前記バルーンの先端側との接合部と前記バルーンの基端側との接合部との相対的な位置が変化可能に構成されている。バルーンは、相対的に剛性が低い第１のバルーン部分と、第１のバルーン部分に軸方向の少なくとも一方に隣接し、相対的に剛性が高い第２のバルーン部分と、を有している。【選択図】図１
