Zusammenfassung:To provide an information processing apparatus configured to suppress cost increase while limiting accesses to an input-output connector from a viewpoint of hardware and software.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus includes: a housing having a jack arranged on an outer wall surface to detect insertion of a plug for signal input or signal output and a connector for connecting an external device, and storing a processing unit inside; a cover member which can be attached to cover the connector exposed on the outer wall surface at least; a pin member which can be inserted into the jack with the cover member attached on the housing; and a control unit which selects a first control state configured to cope with a control state of the processing unit when the cover member is attached or a second control state configured to cope with the control state when the cover member is not attached, on the basis of whether the pin member has been inserted in the jack or not.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】入出力コネクタへのアクセス制限をハードウエア的な対応とソフトウエア的な対応の両方を行いつつ、コスト増加を軽減することができる情報処理装置を提供する。【解決手段】情報処理装置は、外壁面に、信号入力または信号出力のためのプラグが挿入されたことを検出可能なジャックと外部機器接続用のコネクタとを備え、内部に処理ユニットを収容する筐体と、外壁面に露出したコネクタを少なくとも覆うように装着可能なカバー部材と、カバー部材が筐体に装着された状態でジャックに挿入可能なピン部材と、ピン部材のジャックへの挿入の有無に基づいて、処理ユニットの制御状態をカバー部材の装着時に対応する第一の制御状態と、カバー部材の非装着時に対応する第二の制御状態との切り替えを行う制御部と、を備える。【選択図】図1
