To provide a battery pack having a display for displaying a battery residual capacity, and being capable of displaying on the display the fact that a protection function of inhibiting discharge from the battery is operating together with the battery residual capacity during the operation of the protection function.SOLUTION: A battery pack comprises: a battery; a display; a temperature detector that detects a temperature of the battery; and a controller that outputs a discharge stop signal for stopping discharge from the battery when the temperature of the battery becomes larger than a first temperature.
