CLEANING CASSETTE AND THERMAL PRINTER

To provide a cleaning cassette which can effectively clean a thermal head with a simple configuration and a thermal printer having the same in order to solve such a problem that cleaning cannot be easily performed since there is a printing object between a thermal head and a thermal head reception part arranged so as to face the thermal head when cleaning the conventional thermal head.SOLUTION: A cleaning cassette 40 comprises: a cleaning ribbon C which is arranged between a thermal head 21 and a thermal head reception part 23 and is brought into slide-contact with the thermal head 21 while being pressed against the thermal head 21 when the cleaning cassette is attached to a thermal printer 1; and a rubber sheet member 48 which is arranged between the cleaning ribbon C and the thermal head reception part 23 and receives the cleaning ribbon C pressed against the thermal head 21 when the cleaning cassette 40 is attached to the thermal printer 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11 【課題】従来サーマルヘッドのクリーニングを行なう際、サーマルヘッドと、サーマルヘッドに対向して配置されるサーマルヘッド受け部との間に被印刷物があるため、容易にクリーニングすることができなかった。この問題を簡易な構成で、サーマルヘッドのクリーニングを効果的に行うことができるクリーニングカセット及びこれを備えるサーマルプリンタを提供すること。【解決手段】クリーニングカセット４０がサーマルプリンタ１に装着された場合に、サーマルヘッド２１とサーマルヘッド受け部２３との間に配置され、サーマルヘッド２１に押圧されながらサーマルヘッド２１に摺接されるクリーニングリボンＣと、クリーニングカセット４０がサーマルプリンタ１に装着された場合に、クリーニングリボンＣとサーマルヘッド受け部２３との間に配置され、サーマルヘッド２１に押圧されたクリーニングリボンＣを受けるゴム製のシート部材４８と、を備える。【選択図】図１１
