CARD INSERTION UNIT AND CARD READER

To provide a card insertion unit configured to prevent different colors of light from being mixed even when light sources which emit different colors are arranged around a card insertion slot.SOLUTION: A card insertion unit 3 includes: a plurality of light sources 10 which are arranged so as to surround a card insertion slot 2 with light emitting parts facing an X2 direction when seen from an X1 direction, and emit multiple colors, respectively; a transparent cover member 6 which is provided with the card insertion slot 2 and overlaps the plurality of light sources 10 from the X2 direction; and a reflection member 11 which is arranged between the plurality of light sources 10 and the card insertion slot 2 and reflects the light to travel from the plurality of light sources 10 toward the card insertion slot 2.
