Zusammenfassung:	To provide compositions and methods for rapidly testing for the presence of a protein or biofilm on a surface and thus provide an indication as to whether the surface is soiled with a protein-containing soil or biofilm.SOLUTION: A method for detecting the presence of a protein or biofilm on a surface includes applying a composition to the surface, and observing a color reaction if a protein or biofilm is present on the surface.
