METHOD FOR CELL SEPARATION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING CELL SUSPENSION OF PLURIPOTENT STEM CELL MASS

To provide a method for cell separation, which easily separates the desired pluripotent stem cell mass from cell populations at different stages of differentiation without the use of any special equipment and/or reagent, and a method for producing the cell suspension of pluripotent stem cell mass.SOLUTION: A method for cell separation comprises: preparing a mixed cell suspension containing a target cell mass of pluripotent stem cells and a non-target cell mass of cells at a differentiation stage different from the pluripotent stem cells; and separating the target cell mass and the non-target cell mass in the mixed cell suspension based on the difference in adhesion to a solid phase having a cell adhesion surface and the difference in specific gravity in the cell suspension.
