Zusammenfassung:To provide a radiation-type combustion device in which a combustion cylinder constituted of heat-resistant glass and a heat exchanger can be hermetically sealed by a packing without contaminating the periphery of the combustion cylinder.SOLUTION: A radiation-type combustion device comprises: a combustion cylinder 3 continuous with an upper portion of a burner 2; and a horizontally long heat exchanger 5 continuous with the combustion cylinder 3, and also comprises a connection member 6 connecting the combustion cylinder 3 and the heat exchanger 5. A flange portion 4a is formed above a glowing body 4 arranged in the combustion cylinder 3, a packing 7 is placed on an upper end of a wall of the combustion cylinder 3 and the flange portion 4a of the glowing body 4, and the packing 7 is sandwiched between the connecting member 6 and the flange portion 4a of the glowing body 4 and the upper end of the wall of the combustion cylinder 3. The connecting member 6 forms a cylinder portion 6a outside the packing 7, and an annular cover 8 is engaged with an outer periphery of the cylinder portion 6a. The annular cover 8 is bent or curved at a lower portion rather than a lower end of the cylinder portion 6a of the connecting member 6, and forms an annular abutment portion 8a, the tip of the annular abutment portion 8a abuts on an outer periphery of the wall of the combustion cylinder 3, and prohibits a fall of a fragment of the package 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】 耐熱ガラスで構成した燃焼筒の周囲を汚すことなく、燃焼筒と熱交換器をパッキンで密閉できるようにした輻射タイプの燃焼装置を提供する。【解決手段】 バーナ2の上部に連続する燃焼筒3と、燃焼筒3と連続する横長の熱交換器5とを備え、燃焼筒3と熱交換器5を接続する連結部材6とを備え、燃焼筒3内に配置された赤熱体4の上部にフランジ部4aを形成し、燃焼筒3壁の上端と赤熱体4のフランジ部4aの上にパッキン7を載置し、連結部材6と赤熱体4のフランジ部4aおよび燃焼筒3上端との間でパッキン7を挟持する。連結部材6はパッキン7よりも外側に筒状部6aを形成し、その筒状部6aの外周面に環状カバー8を係合する。環状カバー8は連結部材6の筒状部6aの下端よりも下方で屈曲もしくは湾曲して環状当接8aを形成し、環状当接部8aの先端が燃焼筒3壁の外周面と当接して、パッキン7の破片の落下を阻止する。【選択図】 図1
