To provide a washing machine and a washing and drying machine capable of performing temperature adjustment in a short time with respect to washing water to be supplied, by allowing laundry to retain water.SOLUTION: A washing and drying machine 100 includes: an outer tub 2 capable of storing a liquid inside; an inner tub 3 which is supported in the outer tub 2 in a rotatable manner, and in which laundry 207 is stored; a circulation pump 18 having a suction port at a bottom part 56 of the outer tub 2; blower means 20 for blowing air into the outer tub 2; and an air blowing path 81 for connecting the blower means 20 and the outer tub 2.
