POSITION DETECTOR

To provide a position detector for suppressing damage.SOLUTION: A position detector includes: a detection unit that outputs a signal according to the change in the position of a detection target; sensors 31 and 32 having resin portions 314 and 324 covering the detection unit; and a cover 60 that is formed of a resin having a coefficient of linear expansion different from the coefficient of linear expansion of the resin portions 314 and 324 and covers a part of the resin portions 314 and 324 so that the resin portions 314 and 324 protrude.
