Zusammenfassung:	To provide a storage type water heater which enables reduction of a possibility that a failure occurs at the time of water damage.SOLUTION: A storage type water heater includes an exterior case 2 and a hot water storage tank disposed in the exterior case 2. The exterior case 2 includes: a bottom surface part 4; and watertight components 10, 13 forming a peripheral wall protruding from a peripheral edge of the bottom surface part 4 to the vertical upper side. The bottom surface part 4 and the watertight components 10, 13 contact with each other so as to create a watertight state, in which ingress of water into the exterior case 2 is prevented, when water damage occurs.
