To provide a rolling compaction machine that can protect equipment to be mounted while ensuring an operator getting on and off.SOLUTION: A rolling compaction machine (1) of the present invention includes: steps (18) provided on the side of a vehicle body (5) for getting on and off a driver's seat (9); a driver-seat floorboard (9a) located above the steps; a containment chamber (20) formed between the steps and the floorboard and opened to the side of the vehicle body; and an instrument (16) arranged inward in the width direction of the vehicle body from the steps inside the containment chamber and attached to the vehicle body. Inside the containment chamber is further provided a cover (30) that is mounted on the vehicle body and covers the instrument at least from the side of the vehicle body.
