To suppress a recording medium from floating with a simple structure.SOLUTION: A printer 100 comprises: a platen 16 having a placement surface 16P on which a recording medium 5 is placed; and a suppressing member 70 which is provided to be slidable in a main scanning direction Y with respect to the platen 16, and prevents the recording medium 5 placed on the platen 16 from floating.
