Zusammenfassung: | To provide a neutron position detector capable of securing a position resolution which is detection accuracy of a neutron incident position while achieving a longer service life.SOLUTION: A neutron position detector 11 comprises a tube-like envelope 20 serving as a cathode, an anode 21 arranged in a shaft center in the envelope 20, and a gas 23 containing a 3He gas and an additive gas and included in the envelope 20. The additive gas contains nitrogen as a quenching gas, and argon as a gas which shortens ranges of reaction products of a neutron and the 3He gas.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
