The portable terminal includes a clerk identification acquisition unit that acquires clerk identification information for identifying a clerk possessing the portable terminal, a commodity identification acquisition unit that acquires commodity identification information, and a transmission unit that transmits the commodity identification information acquired by the commodity identification acquisition unit and the clerk identification information acquired by the clerk identification acquisition unit to the commodity sales data processing device.
