MASSAGE MACHINE

To provide a massage machine capable of measuring hardness of only a muscle of a person to be treated without using special measuring equipment.SOLUTION: The massage machine includes a treatment element driving unit equipped with a massage mechanism for causing a treatment element to execute a massage operation with a first electric motor as a driving source, and a moving mechanism for moving the treatment element driving unit in approaching and separating directions with respect to the body of a person to be treated with a second electric motor as a driving source. After, in a muscle hardness measurement mode, the treatment element is pushed up to the position where the skin and fat of a part to be measured of the person to be treated are not compressed any more by the second electric motor, the first electric motor is caused to be rotationally driven by constant speed control so as to execute a massage operation using the treatment element. The muscle hardness of the person to be treated is measured on the basis of a motor current of the first electric motor detected during the massage operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 【課題】特別な測定機器を用いることなく、被施療者の筋肉のみの硬度を測定することができるマッサージ機を提供する。【解決手段】マッサージ機は、第１電動モータを駆動源として、施療子にマッサージ動作を行わせるためのマッサージ機構を備えた施療子駆動ユニットと、第２電動モータを駆動源として被施療者の身体に対して施療子駆動ユニットを接近・離間方向に移動させるための移動機構とを備え、筋硬度測定モードにおいて、第２電動モータによって被施療者の被測定部位の皮膚および脂肪がそれ以上圧縮されない位置まで前記施療子が押し込まれた後に、第１電動モータを定速制御によって回転駆動させて、施療子を用いたマッサージ動作を行い、マッサージ動作中に検出された第１電動モータのモータ電流に基づいて、被施療者の筋硬度を測定する。【選択図】図８
