To provide an absorber and an absorbent article comprising the absorber that does not reduce the absorption rate when repeatedly absorbing a body fluid, has excellent body fluid diffusivity, and has good absorbency and wearing feeling.SOLUTION: There are provided an absorber and an absorbent article comprising the absorber. The absorber does not contain flap pulp and includes a plurality of hydrophilic sheets 12, 13 and a highly absorbent sheet 15 encapsulated therebetween. The highly absorbent sheet 15 contains a highly absorbent polymer adhered to the hydrophilic sheets 12, 13. The highly absorbent polymer contains at least two or more kinds of highly absorbent polymers having different absorption ratios and liquid permeation rates.
