To provide a connection threshold value adjustment device and a connection threshold value adjustment method that can shift short-range wireless communication of a terminal and a wireless authentication device to communication connection according to a user's intention.SOLUTION: A determination unit 47 determines a reception state of radio waves of short-range wireless communication when a terminal 5 performs short-range wireless communication with a wireless authentication device 27 in a parking lot 3. When the determination unit 47 determines that the short-range wireless communication does not shift to a connection state even though the terminal 5 is receiving the radio waves from the wireless authentication device 27, an adjustment unit 48 adjusts a connection threshold value of radio waves in the terminal 5.
