Zusammenfassung: | To provide an engine including a combustion cylinder in which oxidation reaction of a fuel progresses, and a reaction cylinder in which chemical reaction different from that in the combustion cylinder progresses, and capable of operating the reaction cylinder in a period suitable of a target chemical reaction.SOLUTION: A multi-cylinder reciprocal engine includes: a plurality of cylinders; a plurality of pistons reciprocally disposed in each of the cylinders; a plurality of suction valves and a plurality of discharge valves disposed in each of the cylinders; a crank shaft rotated by reciprocation of the plurality of pistons; and a valve train 7 for opening and closing the plurality of suction valves and discharge valves by rotary motion of the crank shaft. The plurality of cylinders includes a combustion cylinder in which oxidation reaction of a fuel progresses, and a reaction cylinder in which chemical reaction different from that in the combustion cylinder progresses, and the number of cycles as the number of strokes of the pistons between opening of the suction valves and opening of the discharge valves is different between the combustion cylinder and the reaction cylinder.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
【課題】燃料の酸化反応が進行する燃焼気筒とこの燃焼気筒とは別の化学反応が進行する反応筒とを備え、対象とする化学反応に適した周期で反応筒を作動させることができるエンジンを提供すること。【解決手段】多気筒レシプロエンジンは、複数の気筒と、各気筒内に往復動自在に設けられた複数のピストンと、各気筒に設けられた複数の吸入バルブ及び複数の排出バルブと、複数のピストンの往復運動によって回転するクランクシャフトと、クランクシャフトの回転運動によって複数の吸入バルブ及び排出バルブを開閉する動弁機構7と、を備え、複数の気筒は、燃料の酸化反応が進行する燃焼気筒と、燃焼気筒とは別の化学反応が進行する反応筒と、を含み、吸入バルブを開いてから排出バルブを開くまでの間におけるピストンのストローク数であるサイクル数は、燃焼気筒と反応筒とで異なる。【選択図】図9 |
