To prevent escape of a handcart even if there are poor tension of a tension spring, failure around an escape prevention brake device and so on.SOLUTION: This device comprises: a spring type escape prevention brake mechanism part 2 which brakes at least one of front wheels 12a, 12a or rear wheels 12b, 12b in such a manner that a spring type brake 2a, which uses an elastic force of a tension spring 2b, functions during non-operation, and on the other hand, releases the spring type brake 2a during operation against the elastic force of the tension spring 2b; and a gravity type escape prevention brake mechanism part 4 comprising a concavo-convex disc 4a which is provided on at least one axle of the front wheels 12a, 12a and the rear wheels 12b, 12b on both of left and right sides and on an outer peripheral surface of which an irregularity is provided, and a gravity type brake shoe 4b which is so provided on a handcart 1 as to be rotatable with a fulcrum as a center in a vertical direction, and at a tip, which goes down by a dead weight, of which a projection 4b2 that projects downward and engages with a convex part 4a2 of an outer peripheral surface 4a12 of the concavo-convex disc 4a, is provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】引張バネの張り不良や逸走防止ブレーキ装置周辺の故障等している場合であっても、手押し台車の逸走を防止する。【解決手段】非操作時は引張バネ２ｂの弾性力を利用したバネ式ブレーキ２ａが機能して前輪１２ａ，１２ａまたは後輪１２ｂ，１２ｂの少なくとも一方にブレーキをかける一方、引張バネ２ｂの弾性力に対抗する操作時はバネ式ブレーキ２ａを解除するバネ式逸走防止ブレーキ機構部２と、左右両側の前輪１２ａ，１２ａまたは後輪１２ｂ，１２ｂの少なくとも一方の車軸に設けられた外周面に凹凸が設けられた凹凸ディスク４ａと、手押し台車１に支点を中心に上下方向に回動可能に設けられると共に、自重によって下がる先端部には下方に向かって突出して凹凸ディスク４ａの外周面４ａ１２の凸部４ａ２に係合する突起部４ｂ２が設けられた重力式ブレーキ片４ｂとを備えた重力式逸走防止ブレーキ機構部４とを備える。【選択図】図１
