Zusammenfassung:	To provide a method of producing a polymer of ricinoleic acid, a derivative thereof, and the like excellent in appearance without white turbidness in the presence of a metal compound.SOLUTION: A method of producing polyester by polymerizing a raw material containing one kind of ricinoleic acid and derivatives thereof includes a process of subjecting to esterification in the presence of at least one metal compound selected from the group consisting of titanium, germanium, and antimony by a specific content of the metal compound.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】金属化合物の存在下、白濁が無く、外観に優れたリシノール酸およびその誘導体等の重合体を製造する方法の提供。【解決手段】リシノール酸およびその誘導体の１種を含む原料を重合するポリエステルの製造方法であって、チタン、ゲルマニウムおよびアンチモンから選ばれる少なくとも１種の金属化合物の存在下、特定の金属化合物の含有率でエステル化を行う工程を含むポリエステルの製造方法。【選択図】なし
