Zusammenfassung: | To secure impact absorption performance and rigidity of a vehicle body, inhibit widening of the vehicle body, and smoothly flow exhaust air in an exhaust system member.SOLUTION: A side part vehicle body structure of a vehicle includes: an internal combustion engine 23; an exhaust device 30 through which exhaust air exhausted from the internal combustion engine 23 passes; and rear pillars 12 each of which extends from a rear part of a side sill 8, extending in a vehicle fore and aft direction, in an upward direction. The exhaust device 30 is disposed along the vehicle fore and aft direction at the outer side as seen in a vehicle width direction relative to the side sill 8. An exhaust system member 33 included in the exhaust device 30 is located at a portion which comes around the rear pillar 12 from the front side to the rear side and from the outer side to the inner side in the vehicle width direction. The rear pillar 12 has a shape having a cross section orthogonal to a vehicle vertical direction in which a portion between front and rear ends is located at the outer side in the vehicle width direction relative to the front end and the rear end.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
【課題】車体の剛性および衝撃吸収性能の確保と、車体の拡幅の抑制と、排気系部材において排気をスムーズに流すことを両立すること。【解決手段】内燃機関23と、内燃機関23から排出される排気が通過する排気装置30と、車両前後方向に延びるサイドシル8の後側部から上方向に延びるリヤピラー12を備え、排気装置30は、サイドシル8よりも車幅方向外側において車両前後方向に沿って配置されるとともに、排気装置30に備えた排気系部材33は、リヤピラー12に対して前側から後側、かつ車幅方向の外側から内側へ回り込む部分に位置しており、リヤピラー12は、車両上下方向に直交する断面が前端及び後端よりも、これら前後両端の間の部分の方が車幅方向外側に位置する形状とした。【選択図】図6 |
