Zusammenfassung: | To provide a torsion beam type suspension that makes it possible to adjust a torsion characteristic with a high degree of freedom while securing satisfactory productivity and high strength.SOLUTION: In a cross-section in which a torsion beam 1 is cut in a plane parallel to a plane defined in a horizontal direction and a vertical direction, the cross-sectional area of a central portion 2 is set smaller than the cross-sectional area of a first extended portion 4 and the cross-sectional area of a second extended portion 6. The respective front walls 12 of the first extended portion 4 and the second extended portion 6 have respective front recessed portions 32, 34 recessed toward a rear side, and the respective rear walls 16 of the first extended portion 4 and the second extended portion 6 have respective rear recessed portions 36, 38 recessed toward a front side. The front recessed portions are not arranged in the front walls 12 in the central portion 2, and the rear recessed portions are not arranged in the rear walls 16 in the central portion 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
