To provide a base-material suction device capable of suction-securing a base material being continuously fed roll-to-roll without wrinkling.SOLUTION: A base-material suction device has a partial-release member 15, in which a face of the partial-release member 15 to contact a base material W comprises a bottom portion 15a between portions to contact the base material W in a width direction of the base material W and has a shape becoming higher in position as nearing a contact position with an end of the base material W from the bottom portion 15a. When the partial-release member 15 rises to a partial-release position, the bottom portion 15a is higher in position than a suction surface 111.
