Zusammenfassung:To provide welding equipment in which no-load voltage is applied to a welding rod and there is no risk of electric shock of an operator even if the operator accidentally comes in contact with an abandoned welding holder and the welding rod and a base metal come in contact with each other.SOLUTION: Welding equipment comprises: an AC arc welder PS; a voltage reducing device ES that reduces the output of the AC arc welder PS to a safe voltage during stoppage; a welding holder 1 that supplies power to the welding rod 2 from the AC arc welder PS; a sensor GR that detects grip strength with which the welding holder 1 is gripped; a grip strength determining machine determining that a detection value Pr of the sensor GR is equal to or higher than a predetermined value 4; and an opening/closing unit 5 that switches whether to output the output of the AC arc welder PS to the welding holder 1 by closing a circuit or not to output the output of the AC arc welder PS to the welding holder 1 by opening the circuit.
