To provide an absorbent article comprising a high absorbent sheet, maintaining absorption rate in repeated absorption, excellent in absorbency, and having preferable wearing feeling.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 comprises: a liquid permeable top sheet 10; a liquid impermeable back sheet 11; and an absorber 12 provided therebetween. The absorber 12 comprises: a high absorbent sheet 17; and a hydrophilic sheet 21 wrapping a whole body of the high absorbent sheet 17. Compression energy WC by a handy compressor KES 15 is 2.0 gf cm/cm2 or more and 8.0 gf cm/cm2 or less, and compression recovery property RC is 35% or more and 65% or less.
