To provide a vehicle body capable of sustaining a link between a steering hanger beam and a vehicle apparatus in a case of a collision of a vehicle, and contributing to reduction of a manufacture cost.SOLUTION: A vehicle body includes a beam 22 that extends in a vehicle width direction, is coupled to left and right front side panels, and supports a steering column, and a support member 34 that is disposed behind an air conditioner 26 in the vehicle and links a vehicle apparatus 33 to the beam 22. The support member 34 includes a front side body 35 that is fixed to the beam 22 and linked to the vehicle apparatus 33 from the front, and a buffer 36 that is coupled to the front side body 35, is interposed between the front side body 35 and air conditioner 26, and catches contact of the air conditioner 26 when the air conditioner 26 recedes backward in the vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】車両の衝突時にステアリングハンガービームと車両機器との連結を維持することができ、しかも、製造コストの低減に寄与することができる車体を提供する。【解決手段】車体は、車幅方向に延びて左右のフロントサイドパネルに結合され、ステアリングを支持するビーム２２と、空調装置２６の車両後方側に配置されて、ビーム２２に車両機器３３を連結する支持部材３４とを備える。支持部材３４は、ビーム２２に固定され、前方から車両機器３３に連結される前側体３５と、前側体３５に結合されて、前側体３５および空調装置２６の間に配置され、空調装置２６が車両後方に後退すると空調装置２６の接触を受け止める緩衝体３６とを備える。【選択図】図４
