To provide a plasma etching method capable of simplifying conditioning of etching for obtaining a desired etching distribution, and a plasma etching device.SOLUTION: A plasma etching method for leading an etching gas into a vacuum chamber 1 and etching an etching object Sw which is installed therein in a plasma atmosphere includes at least: a first etching step of etching the etching object just for a predetermined time on a first condition that an etching rate becomes higher from a peripheral region toward a central region of the etching object; and a second etching step of etching the etching object just for a predetermined time on a second condition that the etching rate becomes lower from the peripheral region toward the central region of the etching object.
