【課題】圧縮上死点後に放電火花による点火が行われる場合において、その放電火花による着火性を向上させる。【解決手段】点火システムは、点火プラグ40とそれを制御する点火制御部とを有する。点火制御部は、エンジンが所定の運転状況の時には、圧縮上死点後Taに点火を行う上死点後点火制御を行う。点火システムは、気流を少なくとも圧縮上死点後Taに放電ギャップ45に流れ易くする気流支援構造Asを有する。そして、点火システムは、気流支援構造Asと点火のタイミングTafとにより、上死点後点火制御における放電火花Fの発生期間である上死点後火花期間に放電ギャップ45に流速5m/s以上の気流が流れるように構成されている。【選択図】図6 |
