Zusammenfassung: | To provide a heterogeneous Fenton reaction catalyst that has a better catalytic performance.SOLUTION: Provided is a heterogeneous Fenton reaction catalyst that comprises a divalent iron ion, trivalent metal ion and anion-containing layered double hydroxide and/or a composite compound containing an amorphous composite hydroxide and at least one inorganic oxide selected from the group consisting of silicon dioxide, titanium dioxide, and aluminum oxide. A heterogeneous Fenton reaction catalyst, which is used in contact with hydrogen peroxide under the condition of irradiation of a light present in the region from ultraviolet to infrared. A method for producing a composite compound-containing heterogeneous Fenton reaction catalyst, which comprises: preparing a mixture containing a salt of divalent iron ion and anion; a salt of trivalent metal ion and anion; at least one inorganic oxide selected from the group consisting of silicon dioxide, titanium dioxide, and aluminum oxide; and water; and by adjusting the pH of the mixture at 25°C to 3 to 14 in order to produce a suspension, to obtain a composite compound.SELECTED DRAWING: None
