To provide a light source device and a projector with excellent heat dissipation property and electrical connectivity.SOLUTION: A light source device according to the present invention comprises a substrate, a light source unit, a first member and a second member. The substrate has a first surface and a second surface different from the first surface. The light source unit has: a frame body provided facing the first surface of the substrate; a lid provided on the frame body; a light emitting element which is housed in a storage space formed by the substrate, the frame body, and the lid, and which is provided facing the first surface of the substrate; and a first terminal which is electrically connected to the light emitting element. The first member is provided facing the second surface of the substrate and dissipates heat generated in the light source unit, the second member is provided facing the lid and dissipates heat generated by the light source.
