Zusammenfassung:To realize an article transportation facility in which an article transport vehicle is properly controlled and prevented from coming into contact with an obstacle.SOLUTION: An article transport vehicle 3 that rolls along a rolling route 1 includes an obstacle sensor 21 that detects an obstacle existing in a detection area E2, and a control unit that controls the rolling speed of the article transport vehicle 3 on the basis of detection information of the obstacle sensor 21. A non-detection area E3 where the obstacle sensor 21 does not detect an obstacle is set within a detectable area E1 of the obstacle sensor 21. A situation where the non-detection area E3 exists on a detection line Q linking part of the detection area E2 and the obstacle sensor 21 is regarded as a specific situation.
