Zusammenfassung:	To reduce burden and improve convenience of a driver concerning a conversation.SOLUTION: A conversation assistant apparatus mounted on a vehicle includes a voice recognition unit that recognizes a content of an utterance of a driver and passengers other than the driver, a driver notification unit that performs notification for the driver, and a determination unit that determines whether an automatic response is possible for the utterance of the passenger when there is an utterance that requires an answer from the passenger. The driver notification unit notifies the driver of information based on a determination result by the determination unit when the utterance from the passenger requires an answer (S21, S31).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 【課題】会話に関わるドライバの負担軽減及び利便性向上を図る。【解決手段】車両に搭載される会話アシスタント装置において、ドライバ及びドライバ以外の同乗者の発話の内容を認識する音声認識部と、ドライバに対する通知を行うドライバ用通知部と、同乗者から回答が必要な発話があったとき、同乗者の発話に対して自動応答が可能か否かを判定する判定部と、を備える。ドライバ用通知部は、同乗者から回答が必要な発話があったとき、判定部の判定結果に基づく情報をドライバに通知する（Ｓ２１、Ｓ３１）。【選択図】図１０
