To reduce a burden on a subject, a technician and the like, for example, involving suppression of body movements of the subject.SOLUTION: A couch according to an embodiment is a couch for a magnetic resonance imaging device, and includes a deformable top plate, a movable top plate, and a couch control unit. The deformable top plate is configured to be at least partially deformable, and supports a subject. The movable top plate moves the deformable top plate into a gantry of the magnetic resonance imaging device. The couch control unit controls deformation of the deformable top plate.
