To provide a ride-sharing support system and a ride-sharing support method capable of preventing local information of a vehicle passenger's private location from being known other passengers.SOLUTION: In a ride-sharing support system 1, a getting on/off point information acquisition unit 13 acquires information of a first getting on/off point P2 that is a getting on or off point of a first passenger U2 who wishes ride-sharing and a second getting on/off point P3 that is a getting on/off point of a second passenger U3 who wishes ride-sharing. A getting on/off point distance calculation unit 14 calculates the getting on/off point distance, which is the distance between P2 and P3.
